In 1788, Robert Burns, considered the national poet of Scotland, wrote the words to "Auld Lang Syne", which is sung in many countries around the world to say goodbye to the past year and ring in the new. The words "auld lang syne" basically mean "days gone by" or "old times."
Despite the increase in the new COVID-19 variant and what seems to be a never-ending saga of pandemic setbacks, I am determined to be positive as we begin 2022. So, please join me in ringing in the New Year by participating in a number of events on Fifth Avenue South in January, including:
January 1 from 6:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. -- A Special Evening on Fifth New Year’s Day will include live musical performances up and down the sidewalks of Fifth Avenue South with lots of dining and shopping specials too.
January 8-9 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. -- The 26th Annual Naples Art Show will feature 250 juried artists from across the country who will showcase their paintings, sculptures and other artistic mediums.
January 13 from 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. -- Another beautiful Evening on Fifth will provide musical performances, dining, shopping and more.
January 26 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. -- A Culinary Adventure That Gives Back, sponsored by the Naples Woman’s Club, will feature chef table luncheons at 20 restaurants with a large number on Fifth Avenue South. The proceeds will help fight hunger and homelessness in Collier County.

2022 Cars on 5th Avenue
February on Fifth Avenue South will start with a huge roar as the 18th annual Cars on 5th Concours is held on the 5th of February, 2022 on Fifth Avenue South from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Organized by the Naples Chapter of the Ferrari Club of America, Cars on 5th Concours will feature more than 650 cars, including more than 150 Ferraris and other exotic, vintage muscle cars and more.
The event draws visitors from all over the world and is not just about cars. It’s also about helping the community and giving to those in need. Donations to local charities have totaled almost $3 million over the last 14 years. Last year’s car show raised more than $500K for St. Matthew’s House for those struggling with homelessness, and we hope to exceed that in 2022.
Tickets to the Cars on 5th Concours are $30 general admission and $100 for a VIP ticket. The general admission fee of $30 will be charged, per person, for those 13 and older at all of the access points to Fifth Avenue South. A green Cars on 5th general admission wristband must be worn and visible at all times while at the show.
VIP All-Access admission is $100 for all persons, ages 13 and older; children 12 and younger are free for VIP All-Access admission with parents or adult guardians. This includes access to the main exhibit plus the VIP Scuderia area containing the highest value exotic cars, two drink tickets, and lots of food. A yellow Cars on 5th branded VIP wristband must be worn and visible at all times while at the show and in the VIP area.
