Introducing Flavors of 5th

with Beverly’s Angels

During the month of August, the Fifth Avenue South Business Improvement District (BID) will join forces with the non-profit Beverly's Angels to introduce the Flavors of 5th Prix Fixe dining event on Fifth Avenue South. This partnership underscores the BID's commitment to supporting the local community.

The 4-week Flavors of 5th Prix Fixe dining event will run from August 1 through August 31. Participating restaurants will donate $1.00 for every Prix Fixe dinner sold to Beverly's Angels during the month-long promotion.

Ten of the Avenue's elite eateries will offer a wide variety of delicious multi-course meals starting at $23.99. The participating restaurants included are Chops City Grill, Del Mar Naples, Keewaydin's, Ocean Prime, Pazzo! Cucina Italiana, Roma Italian Bistro & Pizzeria, Sails Restaurant, The French Brasserie Rustique, Truluck's, Tulia Osteria.

Beverly's Angels first contacted the BID to see if they could help any Fifth Avenue South employees who might need special aid, especially during the off-season and in advance of Christmas when many under-resourced families need help the most. As a result, the BID sponsored Christmas in July in partnership with Beverly’s Angels, to assure that nominated Fifth Avenue South employees, as well as Collier County seniors and families who might need a little extra help at Christmas, get that help.

“No parent wants their child to feel disappointed or overlooked by Santa Claus,” says Beverly’s Angels Founder Faith Schwalback, who moved to Naples in 1992. “Our goal is to ensure that every child experiences the magic of the season through our Dear Santa program. At our unique Tinsel Team Headquarters, we empower those that are working hard for themselves and rarely do not ask for assistance. We provide a service like no other during the holiday season.”

Beverly's Angels is a non-profit organization (Beverlysangels.org.) that supports individuals and families in our community striving to build their own paths, navigate careers and full-time jobs, and often support multi-generational families while enduring sometimes lengthy daily commutes.

"Many of our workers have been profoundly affected by overall inflation and the elevated cost of living in Southwest Florida. That's why our restaurants on Fifth Avenue South are thrilled to support the Beverly's Angels mission to provide a hand up for our Avenue workforce and their families,” explains Eric Tancredi, Managing Partner Vergina Restaurant.

In addition to working with Fifth Avenue South restaurants and merchants that will nominate their own employees, Beverly’s Angels has also partnered with the city and county fire departments, the Naples police department, the Sheriff’s office, and other organizations where there may be individuals who do a great job every day, but rarely ask for anything more.

During the month of August residents and other visitors to the Avenue can become Angels themselves.
