What’s New on Fifth Avenue South?
Before our snow birds fly North for cooler climes and our year-round residents prepare for another Naples’ summer, there are a number of new and intriguing Fifth Avenue South offerings you should check out. Our beautiful Fifth Avenue South continues to be the desired destination to shop, dine and play for so many visitors. It’s also fast becoming the street of entrepreneurial spirit where businesses look to expand and are nurtured and encouraged to do so. Here’s a lineup of four new exciting and diverse happenings.
Ottimo on 5th Cucina & Bar
Congratulations to Edmond and Ledia Metaj, the owners of Ottimo on 5th Cucina & Bar and former owners of Roma, on the opening of their second location on Fifth Avenue South. The couple’s passion for exceptional Italian cuisine has flourished, and they’re once again setting the bar high. With their expanded menu and sleek new bar area, Ottimo offers more than just delicious Italian classics—it's an elevated dining experience you don't want to miss.
Edmond shares his excitement: “We’re overjoyed to welcome guests to our stunning new location. We’ve introduced an enhanced menu and feature innovative craft cocktails. Plus, with expanded indoor and outdoor seating, our space is more inviting and spacious than ever.”
The Metajs’ dedication to quality food and outstanding service exemplifies how a combination of great product and exceptional hospitality in a prime location can lead to continued success. Ottimo on 5th Cucina & Bar is located at 409 Fifth Avenue South.
Sendo de Café
June Dispongsa and Somi Teamtanong, who brought you the amazing Ichi Togarashi, just off Fifth Avenue South on 8th Street, are another example of an entrepreneurial team expanding their presence along Fifth, leaving an even greater mark on its vibrant landscape. Since launching Ichi Togarashi in 2022, the couple has opened Sendo de Café, a cozy Japanese tea, bao buns, dumplings, and sweets house at 534 Park Street, again just off Fifth Avenue South. The café has received great reviews whether you’re looking for a casual lunch, an exotic dessert like caramel almond croffle or simply a cup of matcha tea.
June says, “We attribute much of our successful expansion to Fifth Avenue South and the visitors and residents it attracts. We have built an amazing following over the last few years, and we welcome our many friends to our unique addition.”
Anne Fontaine
At the age of 22 in 1993, Anne Fontaine designed her first collection featuring women’s white shirts. Today, the Parisian brand has grown into an international sensation with 39 boutiques worldwide with 16 of those in the U.S. The boutique offers a full collection of tops, outerwear, knits, accessories, shoes, and handbags. Effortlessly chic, Anne Fontaine designs represent timeless luxury and Parisian elegance for the modern woman.
Saundra Thompson, store manager, says, “We are excited to move from Waterside and could not be happier. Fifth Avenue South is such a happening place, and we are thrilled to bring a touch of Paris to this already fashionable and elegant address where so many of our clients frequent.”
Anne Fontaine is located at 365 Fifth Avenue South #104a, next to The French Brasserie Rustique.
Prime Social Reserve
Last but not least, the long-awaited Prime Social Reserve, the first rooftop restaurant on Fifth Avenue South, is expected to open in late 2025. The restaurant will be located at 837 Fifth Avenue South above Chops City Grill. It will be an exclusive, reservation-only, dining, lounge, and rooftop experience unlike any concept in the Cameron Mitchell Restaurants portfolio. The restaurant comprises 7,300 square feet with a dedicated elevator to the rooftop.
While open to any guest, a VIP membership in Prime Social Reserve offers numerous benefits, including access to a dedicated VIP lounge, guaranteed reservations at Prime Social Reserve and priority reservations at other Cameron Mitchell properties on Fifth, including Ocean Prime and Del Mar Naples. VIPs will also receive exclusive, regular invitations to special events, tastings, and receptions to socialize and meet with other members. Membership will be limited, and while the restaurant is not open, the list of members is growing quickly. For more information on how to secure your VIP membership at Prime Social Reserve, please contact Raelene (Rae) DeLuca, Concierge and VIP Manager, at 239-703-8313.
Prime Social Reserve is the brainchild of Chris Shucart. As President of the JCS Realty Group and Fifth Avenue South Business Improvement District (BID) Board of Directors, Chris is one of Naples’ youngest and most successful entrepreneurs who is setting the bar for unique initiatives on both Fifth Avenue South and in the Design District.
We congratulate these Fifth Avenue South Family members on their successes and wish them all good fortune in their new ventures.
