NAPLES, FL (May 13, 2019) – The Naples Players (TNP) KidzAct announce open auditions for Mamma Mia! Teen on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. at The Naples Players at The Sugden Community Theatre located at 701 5th Avenue South in Naples.
Auditions for Mamma Mia! Teen are open to students of all abilities ages 14 – 18 years old, who have completed 8th – 12th grade. This is a Production Class, which offers specialized theatre training and which culminates in a full-scale production on The Blackburn Hall main stage. The Naples Players KidzAct production is seeking to cast 6 girls, 6 boys with additional girl/boy ensemble with featured roles. Rehearsals for Mamma Mia! Teen begin on Monday, June 17, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and performances run Friday – Sunday, August 2nd, 3rd (two shows) and August 4th, 2019. Cast members must be available for all four performances. Auditions are free and walk-ins are always welcome. Students need to prepare 32 bars (about a minute in length) of a song with sheet music or a non-vocal CD/track. Singing will be followed by learning a dance combination. Mamma Mia! Teen performs August 2 at 7:30 p.m., August 3 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and August 4 at 2:00 p.m. in Blackburn Hall at The Naples Players at The Sugden Community Theatre at 701 5th Avenue South in Naples.
