It might be hot, humid and sticky outside, and there are all those annoying mosquitoes by the pool.
But there are a few benefits for residents braving the bugs, summer months and baking sun in Southwest Florida: discounted wine, special events at recreation destinations and less traffic.
“We’re seeing a lot of year-rounders,” said Matt Largent, a manager at The French Brasserie Rustique restaurant on Fifth Avenue South in Naples. “It’s gaining popularity.”
