Naples Woman’s Club Grants $20,000 to St. Matthew’s House to Support Homeless Senior Women
January 2, 2025
The Naples Woman’s Club (NWC) is proud to announce a $20,000 grant to St. Matthew’s House, a local organization dedicated to combating homelessness and providing essential services to those in need. The grant will help cover the cost of housing for homeless senior women, aged 65 and older, from Collier County at Campbell Lodge.
The need for affordable housing in Collier County has been exacerbated by rising inflation, a shortage of affordable housing options, and the ongoing recovery from
Hurricane Ian. St. Matthew’s has been at the forefront of providing not only shelter, but also meals, clothing, transportation, and critical medical care to individuals
facing homelessness. The organization offers a comprehensive support system designed to help residents rebuild their lives and regain independence.
“We are honored to partner with St. Matthew’s House to help support the most vulnerable members of our community,” said NWC President Suzanne King. “The rising costs of living, along with the long-term impact of Hurricane Ian, have made it increasingly difficult for many senior women to find stable housing. This grant is just one way we can make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.”
