Hoffmann Continues Commitment To Area with Another Planned Washington, MO Purchase
April 30, 2021
The Hoffmann Family of Companies has signed a letter of intent to purchase NOA Medical Industries of Washington, MO, a leader in acute care beds, long term care beds, and sleep safety products for long term care providers, nursing homes and hospitals.
For over 3 generations, The Meiners family has been in the manufacturing business. In 1989, Joe Meiners saw an opportunity to purchase two nursing home bed manufacturing companies. Joe combined the two companies, refined the tooling and manufacturing processes and offered a bed that was far superior to anything else on the market at the time. NOA has always prided themselves on recognizing and delivering what the industry wants and needs and in 1994 NOA introduced the first fixed-height low bed to the industry, the ONYX Bed.
The Hoffmanns expanded into the healthcare sector in 2020 through their acquisition of Global Jetcare, a global air-ambulance company and its fleet of Learjets. The upcoming acquisition of NOA Medical Industries is a strategic move to further diversify the expansive Hoffmann Family of Companies portfolio into the growing sector. As baby boomers are retiring and the population aging there is an increased need for hospital and care beds as well as the need for beds for in-home care provided by family members.
“My mother was a nurse in Washington, MO where we grew up. The Meiners family has grown a tremendous business in the healthcare industry and we look forward to having NOA join the Family of Companies and Ray Ganz continue to drive and grow the business as he has for the last 10 years.” David Hoffmann, CEO and Founder, Hoffmann Family of Companies.
The expansion of the Hoffmann Family of Companies within Washington, MO further shows the commitment of the Hoffmanns to the region where they have already purchased over 750 acres of vineyards, 4 wineries in Augusta, MO and have a LOI to purchase Mid-American Coaches, another Washington, MO company.
