Carrot cake for a cause
In celebration of National Carrot Cake Day on Saturday, Feb. 3, Ocean Prime Naples will donate $1 from every slice sold Feb. 3 and Feb. 5-9 of their signature 10-layer carrot cake to No Kid Hungry, a campaign of national anti-hunger organization Share Our Strength.
“We have extended the Ten Layer Carrot Cake promotion this year from a day to a week in hopes of significantly increasing our donation. This is just one way we can support No Kid Hungry, with the enthusiasm of our associates and generosity of our guests, to help make sure that every child in America gets the food they need to learn and thrive,” said Ocean Prime Vice President Mitch Miller in a news release.
This restaurant’s decadent dessert features 10 layers of carrot cake covered in cream cheese icing. The slice is finished with a drizzle of pineapple syrup, whipped cream and a mint garnish for $12.
