Best First Bite
Vergina Restaurant on Fifth Avenue South was voted first place last week during the First Bite menu release party to preview Southwest Florida Restaurant Week. Attendees of the event at Mercedes-Benz of Bonita Springs voted on which of the participating restaurants had the best item to sample.
Vergina won for its four cheese tortellini with truffle cream sauce. Rounding out the top five picks were second, Real Seafood in North Naples; third, Thistle Lodge Beachfront Restaurant at Casa Ybel Resort on Sanibel; fourth, Sea Salt in Naples; and fifth, Martin Fierro in Naples.
