Inspired by the timeless, traditional Italian bakeries in Rome, Bontà Bakery makes its debut in Naples, with its first location now open to the public. Bontà, translating to “goodness” in Italian, conveys authenticity and modernity into a bakery. Bontà Bakery, deeply rooted in Italian culture, is an all-day bakery that will bring the richness of its traditions and culinary delights to the heart of Naples, offering locals and visitors alike a bakery haven like no other.
Situated on the vibrant 5th Avenue in Naples, the 900-square-foot bakery boasts a modern, warm and inviting design. Upon entering, guests are welcomed by floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Inside, the bakery exudes a spacious ambiance with light wood flooring and countertops harmoniously paired with white accents and contemporary, white light fixtures. Long, rectangular counters showcase an enticing array of colorful croissants, pastries and desserts within elegant glass displays. On the left side, a gelato case adds to the display inviting patrons to indulge in a variety of frozen treats. The indoor space features six high-top seats facing the windows offering a view of the outdoors. The outdoor space consists of 12 seats, making it the perfect place to grab a quick bite or for a sit down meal.
To add to Florida’s flourishing food scene, Bontà Bakery originated with the intention of bringing more Italian goodness into the area. The vision of the bakery was to provide the community with a true taste of authentic Italian staples recognizing a distinct need in Naples. The bakery aspires to be a welcoming destination for everyone from families and couples to solo tourists seeking a genuine and delightful Italian experience.
Under the culinary direction of Italian Pastry Chef Marco Berardi, Bontà Bakery invites guests on a journey to the streets of Rome through its authentic plates. Crafted with meticulous care and featuring simple, organic and high-quality ingredients directly imported from Italy, the offerings promise an immersive experience that captures the essence of Italian culinary tradition. The all-day menu will delight patrons with a selection of bakery staples and convenient grab-and-go items made fresh daily like croissants and pastries, savory sandwiches, pizzas and signature homemade gelato. Accompanying the food, the bakery offers a variety of beverages, including soft drinks and a comprehensive coffee selection. Chef Marco’s passion for baking shines through in his signature dishes including: the Bombolone (Italian donuts) in a variety of flavors; Cornetto (Italian Croissant); Brioche Bread paired with a choice of ham, including Prosciutto Cotto, Prosciutto di Parma, Turkey or Salame Milano. The gelato will feature a rotating selection of flavors with classics like Pistachio, Tiramisu and Stracciatella.
