Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan Update Virtual Meeting Space
February 9, 2021
The City is currently designing the 2021 Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan update to increase safety and accessibility throughout the community, while not compromising the area’s small town feel and quality of life. Members of the community are encouraged to provide their input on what they think works (or does not work) for the City of Naples. The City and Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. (VHB) has created a virtual meeting space to allow residents and local business owners the opportunity to learn about the scope and schedule, background, and existing conditions of the project.
In this meeting space, interactive animated stations are set up to explain what a complete street is and its benefits. Users simply click on the stations and the information from each category will be displayed. There is also a station in which residents can mark ideal destination points and pathways throughout the City for additional bike paths and sidewalks to be added, and a survey for residents to leave their specific input. In the survey, there is a space for an open ended response in which you may also indicate where you do not want sidewalks or bike paths added if applicable. The survey can also be downloaded from this station as a printable PDF, which can then be mailed to the Streets and Stormwater Department at 295 Riverside Cir, Naples, FL 34102 or emailed to ksmith@naplesgov.com if you prefer to complete the form manually. This virtual room will be available until 5PM EST on Thursday, February 18, 2021.
