Beginning Monday, June 3rd Street Closures

Beginning Monday, June 3rd, the intersection of 3rd Avenue South and 8th Street South will be closed to drill and install the new utility force main line as part of the 8th Street Corridor Improvement Project. The closure at 8th Street South and 3rd Avenue South will be for approximately two weeks. Parking garage access via 4th Avenue South remains open. All businesses remain open. Local traffic access only on 3rd Avenue South, west of US41.
Beginning Monday, June 10th, traffic will be shifted to the west side of 8th Street while the utility force main line is being installed on the east side of 8th Street, north of 3rd Avenue South to 1st Avenue South.
Drivers should be alert for construction signage, workers, and equipment and are encouraged to allow additional time in their schedule. Your cooperation and patience are appreciated during the work.
