5th Avenue South to Participate in Small Business Saturday on November 26
NAPLES, Fla. (November 17, 2016) – 5th Avenue South (www.FifthAvenueSouth.com) – a world-renowned shopping, dining, and entertainment destination located in Naples, Florida – is pleased to announce that for the 4th consecutive year, it will participate in the Small Business Saturday Shop Small Campaign on Saturday, November 26.
On this special day, many of the locally-owned shops, galleries, and restaurants along Naples’ own Main Street – 5th Avenue South – will offer specials and host sidewalk sales in support of Small Business Saturday.
Started in 2010, Small Business Saturday is collaboration between American Express and the National Federation of Independent Business and is designed to boost the economy while promoting independently-owned businesses around the country. It was estimated that shoppers spent $14.3 billion dollars on last year’s Small Business Saturday. “Because 5th Avenue South is home to the largest concentration of small businesses in Naples, we are strong supporters of this initiative. We invite Naples’ residents and visitors to stop by on November 26 and shop one of our boutiques and galleries for holiday gifts – or something for themselves – and stay for lunch or dinner. If 1,000 people spent $100 at one of our local, independent retailers, $100,000 would stay in our local economy, which is huge,” said 5th Avenue South Business Improvement District executive director, Lise Sundrla.
Naples lives, works, plays, shops, and dines on 5th Avenue South. It is the heart of Naples, the history of Naples, and the spirit of Naples, today. 5th Avenue South is home to award-winning restaurants and cafés, world-class art galleries, chic boutiques, elegant inns and a wealth of professional businesses and services. When you’re on 5th Avenue South, you’re home. For more information about 5th Avenue South, please visit www.FifthAvenueSouth.com.
