5th Avenue South Business Improvement District Names Bruce Barone, Jr. Executive Director

The 5th Avenue South Business Improvement District (BID) is thrilled to announce that after an exhaustive national search, it has named Bruce Barone, Jr. as executive director.
Lou Vlasho, selection committee chairman, said, “Bruce’s long-term involvement and commitment to the Naples community coupled with his background in new urbanism and exceptional marketing and public relations skills make him the perfect fit for this position. He fundamentally understands the concepts and vision set in motion for 5th Avenue South at its inception. We look forward to Bruce using his expertise to renew the passion and excitement for our vibrant downtown business district.”
5th Avenue South BID president, Jim Smith noted, “Bruce is well-versed in the history and mission of our organization, and is committed to continuing and enhancing the strong traditions of this storied district. His strong leadership skills make him a natural steward for the BID’s vision for the future.”
Barone, a resident of Naples for over 15 years, graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University and went on to earn a Master’s Degree in architecture from the University of Miami. Barone has a strong reputation for developing and deploying strategic marketing and public relations campaigns, working with national media outlets. His extensive experience in event management, including managing and promoting more than 40 major events in Southwest Florida, has made him highly revered for his attention to detail, creative ideas, and social media marketing.
