16th Annual Iron Joe Turkey Ride
November 6, 2020
NPC’s Iron Joe Turkey Ride is Naples’ Sunday-after-Thanksgiving cycling tradition.
In its 16th year, the event is named in honor of bicycle advocate and world-class Iron Man triathlete, Joe Bonness. Joe is one of the original founders and past presidents of Naples Pathways Coalition.
The tradition continues (with a few modifications to meet current safety guidelines) and there will be many excellent prizes to win!
Join in on the STOP, SNAP, TAG and POST Social Media Challenge for MANY chances to win the most amazing prizes!
This will be a “Tour de Bike Shops” as ALL of the Naples bike shops are generously sponsoring this event. There will be 15, 30, and 62 mile routes to choose from.
You can leave from home and join a posted route or start at one of the participating bike shops:
The Bike Route, Cycle Shack, Island Bike, Naples Cyclery, Pedego Electric Bikes, Road & Mountain Bikes, Trek, and Western Bike.
Each of these bikes shops will be a start/end point and a rest stop along the route. You can be entered into drawings at each of the bike shops by snapping a selfie in front of the store, posting it to NPC’s Facebook and/or Instagram, and tagging NPC and the bike shop. STOP, SNAP, TAG and POST at all the stores to be entered to win prizes!
Adults who register by October 31 will receive a fun, commemorative shirt (with our turkey mascot appropriately masked up for 2020!) You can order extra shirts and even have them shipped directly to you.
Children under 12 may ride FREE with a paid adult – sorry, shirts are NOT included for children who ride free.
Paid participants will also receive a coupon for 50% off an entree at Food & Thought!
SAG support will not be provided for this event. Helmets are required.
PACKET PICK-UP WILL BE IN THE GATEWAY SHOPPING CENTER ON TAMIAMI TRAIL, JUST NORTH OF GOLDEN GATE PARKWAY AND THE COASTLAND MALL ON SATURDAY 11/28 FROM 10 AM TO 3 PM.
Look for our tent in the parking lot of the closed Vision Works location (just south of 22nd Avenue.)
Proceeds from the event help fund the work of the Naples Pathways Coalition and will help us get the Paradise Coast Trail on the ground as soon as possible.
