Governor’s Executive Order No. 20-68 Addressing Bars, Pubs, Nightclubs, Beaches and Restaurants

In compliance with the subject executive order and pursuant to the powers the local State of Emergency for the City of Naples provides, I hereby issue the following locally within the City of Naples.
Bars, Pubs and Nightclubs: The Governor has issued Executive Order No.20-68 which directs any licensee authorized to sell alcoholic beverages for consumption on premises that derive more than 50% of its gross revenue from the sale of alcoholic beverages shall suspend all sale of alcoholic beverages for thirty (30) days from the date of the order, effective 5pm on Tuesday, March 17,
- Enforcement of this provision is held with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation as the Governor has not issued enforcement authority to local jurisdictions pursuant to his emergency powers with this Executive
- Complaints about establishments violating the provision should be sent to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation State of Florida Alcohol, Beverage and Tobacco Division, Ft. Myers Office at 239- 344-0885
Beaches: The Governor in Executive Order 20-68 has directed “parties accessing public beaches in the State of Florida to follow the CDC guidance by limiting their gatherings to no more than ten (10) persons, distance themselves from other parties by six (6) feet”. The City of Naples will not be closing any beaches on the date of this order. This directive also applies to persons visiting the Naples Pier. Directives are subject to change as local conditions evolve.
Restaurants: Executive Order No. 20-68 limits restaurant occupancies to 50% of their current building capacity and directs that restaurants shall follow the Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidance by ensuring, at minimum, a (six) 6-foot distance between any group of patrons and limiting parties to no more than ten (10) individuals.

Executive Order No. 20-68 expires in thirty (30) days from today’s date of Tuesday, March 17, 2020.
It is the expectation of our local Bars, Pubs, Nightclubs and Restaurants will abide by this order in full or official and validated complaints will be made to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
