COVID-19 | Governor DeSantis Update
March 17, 2020
5th Avenue South,
Today, Florida Governor DeSantis announced all Florida bars and nightclubs are prohibited from hosting guests, and for the next 30 days restaurants must reduce capacity by 50% and distance tables to make sure there is at least six feet of separation between groups of diners.
If you are visiting Fifth Avenue, please know we are complying with the Governor’s announcement and Mayor Barnett’s decision to follow the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations and guidelines for restaurant and retail customer and employee safety.
Restaurants and bars — All bars will be closed, but restaurants will remain open. Spacing and social distancing will be utilized to make sure there is the appropriate space between tables. If you decide to dine on Fifth during this time, please call in advance to make a reservation to assure you do not have to wait in line or be turned away, and to provide managers with the ability to achieve appropriate table spacing. Most restaurants are also offering curbside service or delivery, but you should call ahead.
Retail establishments — All stores on Fifth that are open will also be following CDC best practices in terms of cleaning and customer traffic.
With a commitment to keeping our customers as safe and protected as possible, Fifth Avenue South will continue to welcome guests until we are notified otherwise.
