Naples, FL: (October 17, 2018) . . . The 5th Avenue South Business Improvement District announces line-up for Halloween Spooktacular on October 31 from 4:30-7:30pm.
The 2018 8th Annual Halloween Spooktacular will take place along Naples’ Main Street on Thursday, October 31, 2018 from 4:30pm until 7:30pm featuring a wide variety of activities for the entire family.
Sponsored by Kurnik Law, Nicklaus Children’s Foundation, Wynn’s Market, C3 Gardens, Gator Golf Cars, Devoe Automotive Group, Renda Broadcasting, Naples Daily News, and Hoffmann Commercial Real Estate, the Halloween Spooktacular is an annual event designed to bring together participating 5th Avenue South businesses and city residents to create a one of a kind, fun event for children of all ages. The Halloween Spooktacular will have live music, delicious food, and activity stations ranging from princess makeovers to slime making!
According to Bruce Barone, Jr., the Executive Director of the 5th Avenue South Business Improvement District, “The Halloween Spooktacular is one of our signature events. Our intention is to cultivate a fun and safe environment for children and families, making 5th Avenue the first choice for parents when planning for the holiday,” adds Barone Jr.
The Naples Players will be hosting a KidZone in Sugden Plaza with games, candy, with special performances by the cast mates of Peter and the Starcatcher. The KidZone is well equipped with sword fighting, face-painting, and dancing demonstrations. Sugden Plaza will serve as a centrally located station for the event with an extensive Candy Station provided by Wynn’s Market.
A highlight of the Halloween Spooktacular lineup will be the Mad Scientist with slime and hovercraft station. Children of all ages are sure to be impressed by the opportunity to create their own ooey-gooey slime and take a ride on the hovercraft. In addition, there will be an interactive robot station developed by the local startup Logiscool.
Live music kicks off along the Avenue at 4:30 pm, with a wide range of talents spread throughout the main street. The live music will appeal to all, from The Bumbles, a musical and comedic group creating fun children’s music for ages one through eight, to The Woodwork, a five-person band of musicians. Guitarist and blues singer extraordinaire Steve Hill performs alongside local superstar Gianna Minichiello, touring acoustic duo Jay Stollman and Renan Nerone, DJ Messina, and the North Naples Church Worship Band.
A number of 5th Avenue South restaurants have prepared a signature treat to offer guests of the Halloween Spooktacular. Vergina Restaurant will be presenting their signature pink cotton candy dessert, Kilwin’s will host an Ice Cream Truck right on 5th Avenue, and Caffe Milano will sponsor a pie eating contest.
To truly enhance the fall spirit, the Rotary of Naples will be sponsoring a Pumpkin Patch ideal for family photos and ambiance. Other outside organizations will also be joining the fun, such as Kiwanis, the Scouts of Collier County, and Gulfview Middle School. Plans are also underway to host a Swamp Buggy display too.
Two signature events in this year’s line-up are the annual Pet Costume Contest presented by Humane Society Naples and the annual Children’s Costume Contest sponsored by Nicklaus Children’s Resource Center. The Humane Society Naples has opened the link to purchase tickets to enter your pet into the running.
