The luck of the Irish appeared to give Naples a cloudless Saturday.
And more than 40,000 green-clad spectators came out for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Naples, organizers said.
Hours before the parade started at 11 a.m., a sea of green shirts, hats, beads and even inflatable leprechauns flooded Fifth Avenue South as families and friends claimed their territory along the parade route. Many lined the streets with lawn chairs, stood on balconies or sat outside restaurants.
Some even plopped themselves on tall ladders to get the best view.
