5th Avenue South Announces February Events
NAPLES, Fla. (February 2, 2017, 2017) – The 5th Avenue South Business Improvement District (www.FifthAvenueSouth.com) – whose mission is to brand promote and create awareness of 5th Avenue South, a world-renowned shopping, dining, and entertainment destination located in Naples, Florida – is pleased to announce its February events schedule.
Art in the Park

Art in the Park – showcasing handmade, original art by Naples Art Association member artists – takes place on the first Saturdays of the month between November and April each year. If you haven’t explored downtown Naples for Art in the Park this season, now is your chance! The event is free-of-charge and will include activities throughout Cambier Park and at the Naples Art Association.

Evening on 5th will feature an array of live musical performances featuring the Bill Colletti Trio; Patchouli; The Classics; John Sundrla; Joe Osment; Tie Dye Ted; and Boz n Bon throughout the sidewalk areas of 5th Avenue South. The night will also include fabulous dining, and the opportunity to explore the distinct boutiques, shops, and galleries that span from 9th Street to 3rd Street. Whether you want to relax with friends at dinner or dessert, or dance with your favorite entertainers, you won’t want to miss this event.

Located in beautiful Cambier Park is a thriving art and crafts community, and the Naples Artcrafters is an association of artists and craft artisans that sponsors a juried Fine Art and Craft Show every month from October through April. Established in 1967, the Naples Artcrafters is a non-profit organization that is committed to promoting excellence in arts and crafts and to supporting established artists, craftspersons and students by providing a venue for the display and sale of their work in a beautiful setting. All work is original and beautifully-handcrafted.

Don’t miss the Ferrari Club of Naples’ annual Cars on 5th show! More than 100 Ferraris will be on display with a fine mix of vintage and current V-8s and V-12s from Maranello that are guaranteed to please the crowds. The British contingent will include Jaguar, Lotus, Triumph, and the stately Bentleys. Porsches will be plentiful including some rare race cars. American cars will not be overshadowed, with over 60 Corvettes and other muscle cars expected.

Cambier Park
Because of its national ranking and the beautiful weather in southwest Florida during this time of year, the Naples National draws some of the finest artists in the country. Sunshine Artist magazine has ranked this art show as high as the #3 art show in the United States and has included The Naples National in its top ten national show seven years running. This is a juried art show with artists applying in eighteen categories including painting, jewelry, watercolor, ceramics, metal, sculpture and wood. The local community counts Naples National among its premiere, must-see events thanks to the high quality of the art, the engaging personalities of the artists and the festive atmosphere. More than 20,000 residents and visitors flock to this outdoor weekend art show to enjoy the art, live performances and our world-class restaurants in downtown Naples. Show attendees take full advantage of the opportunity to meet artists from across the country and to learn about their inspiration and techniques. This show raises funds for educational art programming for the Naples Art Association. There is a suggested $5 donation at the gate.
TAP THAT! A Celebration of American Tap Dance
Tuesday, February 21

ReCreation Tappers of Southwest Florida will present a variety of tap dance styles in a lively performance on Tuesday, February 21. Tappers will dance on the Baker Outdoor Stage in front of the Sugden Community Theatre, 701 5th Avenue South, Naples. Performance begins at 6:30 p.m. The show is open to the public at no charge.

This Mardi Gras celebration is dedicated to Sal Tenaglia, long-time owner and proprietor of Regina’s Ice Cream, as a celebration of his life and legacy on 5th Avenue South.
Valet service is available from 5:00 p.m. to midnight daily.
