Gallery One to Host World-Renowned Artist, Tim “The Frogman” Cotterill

NAPLES, Fla. (January 26, 2017) – Gallery One (www.GalleryOneNaples.com) is pleased to announce that it will host a reception featuring world-famous bronze artist Tim “The Frogman” Cotterill on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 770 5th Avenue South in Naples. The reception is free-of-charge.
This exclusive reception will feature the 2017 Sculpture – Enchanted. Cotterill is known around the world for creating beautiful and charming limited-edition, bronze frog sculptures from his studio in Venice Beach, California. The frog’s colors, the way they are positioned, and the incredible mastery behind each Frogman figurine makes Cotterill’s Frogman art loved the world over by individuals and collectors alike.
Cotterill began creating art when he was a child growing up in Leicester England. In the early 1970s, he began creating one-of-a-kind bird sculptures from scrap metal he acquired while working in a chop shop. Over a period of 10 years he crafted around 400 birds and hundreds of other animal sculptures – some of which sold at Sotheby’s. In the early 1990s, Cotterill moved to the United States and sold his metalwork pieces at street shows and festivals, but only found true success once he began making his limited edition bronze frogs. What makes Frogman art so famous is the way Cotterill incorporates every possible expression, contour, and subtlety of frogs found in nature into his colorfully-enameled bronze sculptures.
