Naples New Year’s Art Fair & 5th Avenue South Sidewalk Sales

The Naples Art Association presents the 20th Annual Naples New Year’s Art Fair on Saturday, January 7 and Sunday, January 8. Start the New Year off in style along 5th Avenue South in downtown Naples at this well-established art festival. Augmenting the number of participating artists, available art and ambiance of the event on Saturday is Art in the Park. Art in the Park is an art fair held on Park Street by Naples Art Association members on the first Saturday of each month between November and April. This year, we are expecting 254 artists from around the country showcasing original oils and acrylics on canvas, watercolors, 2D and 3D mixed media, limited edition prints, photography, digital art, sculpture, wood carvings, ceramics, hand-crafted jewelry, leather works, and more.
Participating boutiques and businesses along 5th Avenue South will also bring sale items to the sidewalk for special Sidewalk Sales too!

Evening on 5th will feature an array of live musical performances throughout the sidewalk areas of 5th Avenue South and its treasured side streets. The night will also include fabulous dining, and the opportunity to explore the distinct boutiques, shops, and galleries that span from 9th Street to 3rd Street and our treasured side streets. Whether you want to relax with friends at dinner or dessert, or dance with your favorite entertainers, you won’t want to miss this event.

Located in beautiful Cambier Park, one block south of 5th Avenue and Tamiami Trail, is a thriving art and crafts community. The Naples Artcrafters is an association of artists and craft artisans that sponsors a juried Fine Art and Craft Show every month from October through April. Established in 1967, this non-profit organization is committed to promoting excellence in arts and crafts and to supporting established artists, craftspersons, and students by providing a venue for the display and sale of their work in a beautiful setting.
At this event, you will find paintings – oils, acrylics, watercolors; drawings — pen and ink, pencil; pastels; scissors art; multi-media and collage; photography; ceramics; jewelry – metalsmithing, metal clays, lapidary, beading; sculptures; pottery; clay; stained glass and fused glass; wood turning and carving; basket weaving; and more. All original art and beautifully handcrafted items.

Naples’ annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 19 and will follow the traditional parade route beginning at Broad Avenue South and Third Street South before making its way to Fifth Avenue South. The parade will end with a celebration at Cambier Park on Eighth Street South from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This event is to help raise awareness of hunger and to raise money for the Harry Chapin Food Bank. Select a handcrafted bowl made by local potters, artists, educators and students. Enjoy soups from 50 local restaurants and clubs, silent auction, pottery sale, paint-a-bowl and entertainment.

Join in the fun on Saturday, January 24 when professional and student artists take over 5th with fabulous chalk art drawings! Help judge for the Best Artwork. Enjoy live music, food, fun, and shopping on 5th. Participating businesses will be holding sidewalk sales all day as well.
For each of these events, free parking is available in the two public garages on 8th Street, in the public lots on Park Street and 8th Street South along 5th Avenue South Parkway, and in spaces surrounding Cambier Park. Valet is also available daily 5:00 p.m. to midnight.
