Sheldon Fine Art to Host Special Reception for Henrietta Milan on February 12

NAPLES, Fla. (February 4, 2015) – Sheldon Fine Art will host a champagne reception for Modern Impressionist palette knife artist, Henrietta Milan, on Thursday, February 12 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sheldon Fine Art, located at 460 Fifth Avenue South in Naples, Florida. The event is open to the public and will take place during Fifth Avenue South’s monthly Evening on Fifth event.
Henrietta Milan, originally from Chicago, Illinois, and now living in Fort Worth, Texas, is a seasoned self-taught palette knife artist who passionately captures flowerscapes, gardens, children and still-life subjects as well as tranquil scenes of days long gone. Inspired by the work of great Impressionists such as Monet, Milan combines her intuitive palette knife technique with vibrant oil color to create paintings filled with breathtaking, romantic texture and movement. The end result is a body of work that imparts a sensation of beauty and tranquility to the viewer. Her paintings are part of public and private collections around the world.
Sheldon Fine Art will welcome Henrietta Milan again on Saturday, February 14 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a book signing event at a Valentine’s Day Tea Party at the gallery. Milan’s book, titled QUIET CONTENTMENT, presents a retrospective of her work and includes over 140 of her palette knife paintings that take the viewer along on an exciting visual journey through Europe, into the heart of Texas, to the Deep South, and even to the gardens of her own Fort Worth home. This exquisite book will be available at Sheldon Fine Art, and Milan will sign copies at the gallery event on February 14.
