March 11, 2014
NAPLES, Fla. (February 5, 2014) – Marilyn’s Distinctive European Fashion will host a Private Fashion Exhibition to Benefit David Lawrence Center on Thursday, March 20 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with the Fashion Show beginning at 5:30 p.m. The event will take place at Marilyn’s new location at 375 Fifth Avenue South in Naples.
You won’t want to miss this fashion-forward event – with a throwback feel. The Private Fashion Exhibition’s intimate runway show will be reminiscent of a 1950s-era, Parisian fashion house show including clothing pieces that are handcrafted by designers, manufacturers, and retailers in Paris, Venice, Rome, Madrid, London, and Milan. In addition to the runway show, guests will enjoy an entertaining production by Karen and Marc Danni with Karemar Productions. Hors d’oeuvres and champagne will be served.
Reservations are limited to 65 seats. Tickets are just $75 per person or $1500 to serve as a Fashion Sponsor, which includes five tickets to the event. Tickets can be purchased online at DavidLawrenceCenter.org or by calling the David Lawrence Center at 239.304.3505.
Special thanks to sponsor, Naples Illustrated.
Upon entering Marilyn’s Distinctive European Fashion, you are greeted not only by a friendly, personable wardrobe consultant, but also by a chic, alluring ambiance that includes a dramatic gold ceiling adorned by a stunning, oversized crystal chandelier. It’s clear that Marilyn’s is really so much more than just a women’s clothing and accessory boutique. What started as a passion to provide luxurious, European goods paired with special, personalized service over four years ago has grown into the destination for exclusive Italian and French blouses; shoe collections that are not only fashionable but comfortable; select handcrafted jewelry lines made from metals, stones, crystals, Venetian glass, and resins; the area’s most extensive hat collection including several by designer Philip Treacy; couture handbags made with exotic skins including python; and a plethora of belts, scarves, and other stylish accessories. Through frequent buying trips, owner Marilyn Hellman has cultivated valuable relationships with designers, manufacturers, and retailers in Paris, Venice, Rome, Madrid, London, and Milan, allowing her to continually offer fresh, inventive collections to her esteemed customers. Hellman has built her reputation in Naples’ fashion world by listening to what her customers want, teaching them about upcoming trends through her ever-popular seminars, and by providing them with a newly-relocated, much larger space that features an organized, personal shopping experience complete with lavish dressing rooms for private fittings and wardrobe consultations, a chic showroom with a tranquil sitting area, and a 24-foot runway for fashion shows with guest appearances by choice European designers!
