The Naples Players to Host Auditions for Moon Over Buffalo

NAPLES, FL- The Naples Players will hold auditions for Moon Over Buffalo at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 8 at Sugden Community Theatre, 701 5th Avenue South. Appointments are not necessary.
This play calls for two men ages 20 – 35, two men ages 40 – 65, one woman age 40 – 60, one woman age 60 – 85, and two women ages 20 – 35. Rehearsals begin March 10, and move onstage April 10. Show dates are April 23 – May 17.
The dwindling dreams of theatre has-beens, George and Charlotte Hay, are once again ignited when Hollywood film director, Frank Capra, decides to drop in on their matinee performance in hopes of casting them as the new leads in his film the Scarlet Pimpernel. But with two shows running in rep, confusion mounts as the actors clamor to figure out which show they are performing. This comedic showbiz satire has all the ingredients of a good farce; slamming doors, mistaken identities, costume calamities and utter mayhem.
The Naples Players’ auditions are open to all interested persons, regardless of age, race or experience. All that is required is the desire to be involved in a production and the willingness to commit time and effort to the project. For additional information, call 434-7340, ext. 10.
