The Naples Players Cast Good People

NAPLES, FL- The Naples Players have finalized the cast of Good People, which will be performed in the Tobye Studio at The Naples Players February 5 to March 1.
In Good People, Bonnie Knapp takes on the role of the main character, Margie. Knapp was most recently seen as Matilde in The Clean House. Knapp also played Miss Fisher in A Picasso. Victoria Diebler will play Margie’s friend, Jean. Diebler was last seen as Myra Babbage in Ghost Writer this past spring.
Janina Birtolo will portray Dottie, Margie’s landlordand caretaker to her handicapped adult child, Joyce Birtolo’s last role with the Naples Players was in 2011 as the crazy maid Myra in Regrets Only.
After losing her job, Margie seeks out employment from an ex-boyfriend, Mike, played by Paul Graffy. During the 2011-12 season, Graffy performed in Rabbit Hole and Sherlock Holmes.
Sonya McCarter performs as Mike’s on-stage wife, Kate. McCarter recently played Mrs. Muller in Doubt, A Parable in the 2011-2012 season.
Matthew Striegel will perform the role of Stevie, Margie’s former boss at the dollar store. Last season, Striegel could be seen in Les Miserables and The Mousetrap.
In Good People, sharp-tongued Margie, has been fired from her job at the dollar store, and plans to seek employment from an old flame that managed to get out of Southie, Boston and become a successful doctor. Their reunion results in a reflective conversation pondering if it is our choices or fate that determines our path. This show contains mature language, and may not be suitable for all ages.
The show will be performed Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm.
