Fifth Avenue South BID Seeking Area Organizations and Choirs to Participate in Annual Events
NAPLES, Fla. (September 2013) – Fifth Avenue South Business Improvement District (BID) is seeking community organizations to participate in the 3rd annual Halloween Spooktacular on Fifth and choral groups, bell choirs, and community organizations to participate in the 39th annual Christmas Walk & Tree Lighting Ceremony on Fifth.
The 3rd annual Halloween Spooktacular on Fifth will take place on Fifth Avenue South on Thursday, October 31. This ghoulish event will kick-off with children’s activities from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., including trick-or-treating at Fifth Avenue businesses and the Shamrock Bank kid’s costume contest. The evening will continue from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with the fabulous adult costume contest, the pet costume contest, live music, a street dance, a giant movie screen, and activities for kids and adults.
The BID is seeking non-profit groups and community organizations to provide kid and family-friendly activities from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The Halloween Spooktacular on Fifth event attracts 9,000 to 10,000 people each year.
The 39th annual Christmas Walk & Tree Lighting Ceremony on Fifth will take place on Thursday, December 5 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This momentous Naples holiday tradition will include holiday performances by area schools, and local acts all along Fifth Avenue South, the lighting of the majestic Christmas tree by Mayor John Sorey, and a visit from Santa himself! The BID is seeking participation from local choral groups, school and church vocal and bell choirs that have an interest in performing. This event attracts 12,000 people each year.
