Le Colonial Elevates Charlie Ho To Corporate Executive Chef
June 19, 2024
Le Colonial, the acclaimed French-Vietnamese restaurant, has promoted Charlie Ho to Corporate Executive Chef, overseeing the culinary programming for its six restaurants. Ho is an eight-year veteran of Le Colonial, most recently serving as Executive Chef in its Houston location.
Chef Ho was born in Beaumont, Texas, and his parents immigrated to the States from Vietnam. He began his culinary journey at age 16 at a sushi restaurant followed by a number of Vietnamese restaurants. He started as a line cook at Le Colonial in Houston in 2016, eventually working his way up to Executive Chef.
Chef Ho attended the University of Houston and helped his family open a grocery store in Houston. He is married with two children, and is a “Texas boy who enjoys fishing, hunting and anything outdoors.”
“Vietnamese food is often thought of as street food cuisine. Le Colonial has taken Vietnamese food to a higher level, and I enjoy elevating the cuisine with the highest quality ingredients and French techniques,” said Chef Ho.
